Audra brings a background in both education practice and research to her role at Empirical Education. As a research manager, Audra manages a longitudinal study that evaluates the effectiveness of a three-year teacher residency program in Atlanta, Georgia. The residency program offers evidence-based professional learning opportunities, mentorship, and support to new teachers, in order to develop their critical-consciousness, compassion, and skill. Through both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, the longitudinal study assesses whether the teacher residency program is achieving its goals to raise student achievement in local high‐needs schools by increasing the effectiveness and retention of new teachers. Her previous experience includes serving as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malaysia and then later as the Middle School Program Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. Audra holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from UC Berkeley and a Master's degree in International Education Policy Analysis from Stanford University.
